Who Is Eligible To Drive The Motorhome?
You must be aged 23-75 and have held a full UK license for a minimum 2 years. Our insurers will accept up to 2 speeding fines or equivalent (i.e. SP30). If you feel you don’t meet these criteria, please contact us to discuss your options. A surcharge may be applied.
We can insure additional drivers on the motorhome at a charge of £5 per additional driver per night. All drivers must be present to at time of collection/delivery.
How Do I Book A Motorhome?

Call us on 0151 420 1140 or 07512 061 705 and we will happily take your booking over the telephone if you prefer.
All we need to confirm a booking is a deposit of 25% of the total hire cost or full payment if the period is less than 8 weeks prior to the start of hire.
Is There A Security Deposit?
Yes, A refundable security deposit payment of £1000 is required from the hirer’s debit/credit card upon collection/delivery of the motorhome to cover any accidents and damages to the motorhome. This amount can vary depending on the number of penalty points on the driver’s license, or if the driver is out of the 23-75 age range. For special event hire such as festivals or sporting events the security deposit is £2000. The card holder must be present at the time of collection/delivery.
What Does The Rental Price Include?
The booking price includes everything you will need to just pick it up and drive off, inclusive of insurance, breakdown cover, kitchen equipment, cooking gas and much more. See the individual motorhome pages for exact details of what else is included. There are also ‘extras & VIP packages’ that can be added.

Can I Take My Pet?
Yes, our motorhomes are pet-friendly and at no extra cost although we ask they are not left unattended or allowed on the soft furnishings. Please contact us with regards to animal exclusions.
What Is The Fresh Water Storage?
Between 85 – 120L depending on the motorhome.
What Works From The LPG Gas Bottle?
- Fridge (if not connected to an electric hook-up)

What Works From The Leisure Battery?

Do I Need To Hook Up To The Mains Electric On Sites?
On most campsites you can park your motorhome on an electric hook-up pitch, this provides mains electricity which can power the fridge, microwave, water heater, space heater and also recharges the leisure battery. The on-board 230v plug sockets can only be used when hooked-up to the mains electric.
What Plug Sockets Are In The Motorhome?
There are 12v and 230v sockets in all the motorhomes.
Is The Motorhome Suitable To Use In Winter?
Yes, our motorhomes are very suited for winter hire. They all have Winter Packs fitted which include additional wall & floor insulation and Frost protection systems. All our motorhomes are fitted with a gas heating/hot water system. You will find them extremely comfortable.
How Old Are The Motorhomes?
Our motorhomes are the 2019 models.
Do The Motorhomes Run On Petrol Or Diesel And What Miles Per Gallon Can I Expect?
All our motorhomes run on diesel fuel. On collection the vehicles will have a full tank of fuel. It is the responsibility of the hirer to make sure that the fuel tank is full on its return. Charges will apply if not returned full. All our motorhomes have the latest efficient Euro 6 diesel engines, you can expect around 30 miles per gallon.
Is There A Speed Limit That Applies When Driving A Motorhome?
The speed limit is 70mph. UK & European speed limits must be adhered too. Any fines or costs associated are the responsibility of the driver.
Is There A Minimum Hire Period?
High season – High Season (01/06 to 31/08) – 7 nights
Mid Season (01/09 to 30/09 and 31/03 to 31/05) – 3 nights
Low Season (01/10 to 30/03) – 3 nights
What Documents Do I Need?
All drivers must be present on collection/delivery of the motorhome and each driver will need to bring the following:
- Valid Passport
- Full valid Driving License (address must be up to date)
- Two forms of proof of address dated within 90 days (one must be a Utility Bill/Bank Statement)
- Your National Insurance number (UK residents)
All drivers must have the correct documentation at time of collection/delivery. Please contact us if you are unsure if your documents will be accepted.
When Is The Balance Due And What Charges Apply If I Cancel My Booking?
The full balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to the hire start date.
We will require a 25% deposit of the total cost at the time of booking or full payment if the period is less than 8 weeks prior to the start of hire.
- More than 8 weeks before: 25% booking deposit only
- 8 weeks – 2 weeks: 50% of total hire charge
- 2 weeks – No Show: 100% of total hire charge
Can I Take The Motorhome Abroad?
Yes, travel is permitted to the following European destinations. Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
We offer a European Package as an extra for £15 per night which includes – unlimited mileage, breakdown assistance & a European travel pack
European Travel Pack includes: 2 Warning Triangles, 4 High Visibility Vests, 2 NF Approved Breathalysers, 1 GB Sticker Kit.
I Have Points On My Licence? Can I Still Drive The Motorhome?
Yes, you can. Our insurers will accept up to 2 speeding fines or equivalent (i.e. SP30). If you fall out of these parameters, please contact us to discuss your options. A surcharge may be applied. Can I Drive The Motorhome On An International License?
Yes, you can. International drivers from most countries can be covered but the excess is likely to be higher. Please contact us first to confirm.
Do I Have To Stay On Campsites?
We recommend that for safety you stay on campsites (it is advisable to book campsites in advance especially in peak season). ‘Wild camping’ is actually prohibited in many areas. You will need to check whether there are any restrictions on parking, overnight parking or sleeping in vehicles.
What Happens If I Break Down On Hire?
All our motorhomes are covered with UK and EU breakdown (included in the European package option) assistance, details will be given to you during the handover process.
What Charges Apply If I Cancel My Booking?
More than 8 weeks before: booking deposit only
- 8 weeks – 2 weeks: 50% of total hire charge
- 2 weeks – No Show: 100% of total hire charge
Prestige Motorhomes 4 Hire cannot postpone hire however, may transfer money from one hire to another – this will be reviewed case by case but Prestige Motorhomes 4 Hire reserve the right to decline the request.
What Happens If The Motorhome I Booked Becomes Unavailable?
In the unlikely event the vehicle originally booked becomes unavailable the owner reserves the right provide an alternative vehicle. The owner will always endeavour to provide a vehicle of similar size to suit travelling party requirements which will be similarly equipped.
In this event, the hirer is not liable for higher rental charges. If a smaller vehicle or lower grade vehicle is provided, the difference in charges will be refunded.
What Happens If I Have An Accident Or Damage The Vehicle While On Hire?
Don’t panic! Accidents happen, contact us within 8 hours of the incident to inform us what has happened and obtain advice. More details can be found in our booking conditions however we will cover all accident information during the handover process.
Is There An Excess/Hire Bond On The Vehicle Insurance?
Yes, the standard hire bond is £750 per reported incident or accident (can be higher depending on destination and driving offences). For festivals, sporting events, or to take the motorhome abroad the security deposit is £2000. Please contact us for information.
Do You Allow Smoking In Your Motorhomes?
By law and for the comfort of all our customers, smoking is strictly prohibited on board all our motorhomes. Any infringements in these rules will result in a fine to cover the cost of cleaning the motorhome.
How Should I Return My Motorhome?
A charge of £100.00 can be applied if any these stipulations are not met by the hirer:
- Vehicles are expected to be returned in a clean and tidy condition.
- Motorhomes must be returned to the collection depot by 11 am (unless otherwise previously agreed with the Depot Manager)
- All motorhomes must be returned with the same level of fuel as was present at the beginning of the period of hire
- All motorhomes are required to be returned with an empty toilet cassette and an empty waste water tank, the contents of which are only to be disposed of at approved disposal points
- Vehicles are expected to be returned in a clean and tidy condition, with:
- All floors clean
- Refuse removed
- Bathroom clean and tidy
- Surfaces wiped
- Kitchen Itinerary washed and replaced in cupboards
Can You Provide Baby/Child Seats And Booster Seats?
Baby/child seats are not provided. However, all motorhomes can fit a baby car seat/booster seat/ booster cushion. It is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to ensure the seat belt is securely attached to the baby/child seat. Baby car seats/booster seats/ booster cushions can be hired from £10 per seat per day.
Can You Deliver The Motorhome To Me?
Yes, we can offer a delivery service. Please Please contact us with any queries for a quotation.
Can I Leave My Vehicle At Prestige?
Yes, you can leave your car at our depot for a small fee of £5 per car, per night. Your car will be held in a secure gated and locked, CCTV operated compound. Why not come back to a clean car by opting for our car valet service which can be added during your booking process.
What Are The Collection And Drop Off Times? What Happens If I Return Late?
You can pick up/drop off the motorhome on any day of the week 364 days a year (excludes Christmas Day)
- Our official pick up time is between 14:00 and 16:00 as per appointment
- Our official drop off time is between 9:00 and 11:00 as per appointment
Please ask if you have any special collection arrangements and we will try and do our best to accommodate these.
Last collection time is 1 hour prior to closing (closing time may vary depending on the season) please see website for detail.
Failing to collect/drop off the motorhome on time will incur a charge. Please refer to the booking conditions for details however all customers will receive full details. The handover can take a little time so please allow 1 hour at the point of collection. Full instructions for the vehicle will be demonstrated at this point.
Please contact the office if you are running late as there may be someone waiting to collect it. We reserve the right to charge you for a late return at £20 per hour but would always try to avoid this. We can sometimes accommodate later returns if there are no immediate subsequent bookings but wouldn’t be able to confirm that until a couple of days before your return.
Do I Get A Handover And Demonstration Of The Motorhome?
Yes, you will receive a full demonstration of the motorhome facilities upon collection/delivery of the motorhome. User guides are also supplied with the motorhomes to help ensure you depart safely and get setup correctly.
